Foundations: Why a Considered Consultation Comes Before Treatment

The most considered opinion in aesthetic medicine begins before any treatment decision is made.

In my practice, I often meet people at the point where they know they would like to look better, but are less certain about what that should mean clinically. They may have noticed a change in facial structure, skin quality, expression, dental support or overall vitality. They may also have seen too many examples of treatment-led aesthetics and want something quieter, more precise and more personal.

For me, the consultation is not a formality before treatment. It is the foundation of good judgement. It is where I assess the face in context, listen to the patient’s concerns, and consider what will support them over time rather than simply respond to a single visible feature.

This is the centre of my approach at Dr Souphi’s clinic: clinical judgement, restraint and continuity for people who want to look well, not overdone. A considered assessment should create clarity before it creates a plan.
